OÜ Ösel Fish was established in 1994 in Saaremaa with the aim to start the production of fish products. In the same year the trademark “Leedevälja” was created which has become the specific brand by today. Our products can be found in the package of “Saare Hõbe” as the second trademark.

The production of different fish products was started, by expanding gradually the assortment which today includes about 80 different products and services.

Our products are sold by all Estonian major trade networks dealing with food products. The catering companies, spas and restaurants make also a significant part of the clientele.

The company has a well-developed logistics, thanks to the latter the goods reach fast to the clients in the home island as well as in the mainland.

In 2004 we renovated the production building of the whole company, in 2005 we constructed the modern smokehouse and new refrigerator warehouses. The total cost of the projects was 11 million kroons.

In 2006 we started the production in the refrigerator plant located in Virtsu small town with the aim to expand the production volume to the export markets in the assortment of both fish preserves and cold fish. Today 12 persons from Läänemaa are employed.   

The number of employees of OÜ Ösel Fish has increased to 30 islanders in the years of activities who go to work to Nasva from close surrounding, Kuressaare as well as from the rural areas. Also, 12 persons from Läänemaa are employed today in Virtsu industry. The focus is placed on quality and the improvement of work environment.
